Mens Reserve Grade - Round 9 vs Westlawn Tigers

Match Report Saturday 21/6/2014

Northern Storm VS Westlawn at Barnier Park

Northern Storm were up for another win today the boys were pumped up and ready to go. It didn’t take long before the first goal was scored by Daniel Anyrjong in the 9th minute of the game. At the 18th minute a cracking goal from Enoch Marc found the Nett putting the Storm 2 nil up. The storm played some great football the passing off was something to see. Westlawn were not in the game until a Goal from Aiden Tory found the net in the 38th minute of the first half making the score 2 to 1 at half time.

The second half started and the storm were angry due to loosing Salvador Wamara with a red card early in the first half for dissent. The referee was too quick to issue this card without any warning to the player. All the boys lifted their game with Westlawn running our player all over the park .The Storm defence held strong keeping Westlawn scoreless in the second half. The Storm attack was clinical with a goal from Cameron Jones in the 28th minute and a goal from Brendon Myers in the 37th minute of the second half. All players were good enough to receive the man of the match today. However Paul Malith, with a fantastic performance today, setting up three of the goals gets the man of the match. Well done Paul your game is getting better and better. Thanks this week goes to Michael Lloyd, Jade Porter, Collin Scully for all the great help you guys do every week.

Full time score 4 to 1 with the Storm winning. Remember boys winners are grinners yip yah.
