Match Report:

Up against the strongest team in the comp, we needed to find something special. Boambee started very strongly and were putting us off our game plan with a very skillful and physical game. We also were making lots of unforced errors to give them way too much possession. Eventually they pounced and 2 quick goals saw them up 2-0. Then almost on half time Kodie was brought down in their box and promptly put away the penalty to get us to 2-1 down.

We fired up at half time and came out playing much better football. The first 15 mins of this half we were clearly the better side and created several chances. One of these was a great team passing move right from the back, again finished off by Kodie to give us a 2-2 scoreline.

Not long after that the wheels fell off. A lack of fitness saw us lose our structure and Boambee finished all over us.

Despite the score there were some positives out of this game. We still had a few players not quite right from injuries, and also some were playing out of position. We looked very good for about 40 mins of the game, so we need to work on extending that to 90 mins.

Kodie did well up front after being heavily marked and finished with all 3 goals. Jeri also did well in defence.
