Storm Vs Urunga at Urunga
What a game
today between the Northern Storm and Urunga. These teams are very evenly
matched. Urunga came out firing with some tough physical play. The Storm kept
up the pace with them and as the game progressed the Storm were looking good
with some great defensive play. Ex Storm player Dut Garang was showing his
skills in attack however James Mangar was all over him stopping him from
getting anywhere near the goal box. Well done James. The score at half time was
0-0.
The second half started with both teams playing tough. Marual Mangar
playing on the wing showed some great speed and ball skills beating his
opponent time and time again. Well done Marual. Enoch Marc in the centre with
his zippy play kept the ball going forward. Well done Enoch that’s what we need
in the centre.
It was unfortunate we didn’t score a goal Urunga had a very good
defensive line. It was in the 42nd minute in the second half when a
mistake from Urunga caused an own goal with pressure from the storm players
Marual and James. Full time score 1-0 to the storm. We will take this win with
pride because it’s very hard to beat Urunga at their home ground. Well done to
James manger who was our man of the match and well done to the Storm team for a
hard tough game. Thanks lads Trevor and Matthew.
