Mens 1st Division - Round 12 vs Westlawn Tigers

The coaching staff thought last week’s game against Boambee was a very frustrating game. Well let me tell you that was nothing compared to this game. Storm again squandered so many opportunities throughout this match.

This match was first place V’s last place on the ladder and we expected a good win – we came away with a draw, in fact a scoreless draw - how many times do you hear this happen??????

In the first half we had 9 opportunities to score and in the second half we had 10.

The lads hit the cross bar, the post, the goalkeeper and yet we could not find the back of the net.

Again we chose to “chase” the ball rather than playing a simple passing game.

Not good enough lads - those 2 lost points may hurt us come semi final time.

The only pleasing factor was that we did not receive any yellow cards, hence our discipline improved in spite of some very questionable referring.

Northern Storm 0 Westlawn 0

Man of the Match went to Grant Scully.
