Match Report
Round 7
Northern
Storm VS Orara Valley Dingoes Mens Reserve Grade 25/5/2014 At the Cove.
What an
afternoon at the Cove today with great weather and some top class footy. Our
boys needed to bounce back today after the loss last weekend, and that’s what
they have done. The lads were all over Orara playing the best passing game i
have seen all year. It was in the 8th minute of the first half when
Daniel Anyrjong scored a wonderful goal putting us in front. Jade Porter
playing up front had a blinder of a game settling thing down and controlling
that area of play. He had a crack at anything that was loose even an attempt at
a bicycle kick. I think if it would have scored we would still be hearing about
it years down the track; well done Jade. Not to be out done by Porter Matt
Bennett our coach player had a terrific game playing and controlling the back
line even to the point of tearing a hammy mid way through the second half well
done Matt.
But there
was one player who really stood up to the mark and he gets the man of the match
award today Salvador Wamara scored a great goal in the 38th minute
of the second half and his running of the line and cross kicks were fantastic well
done Salvador. We won the game 2 nill today and congratulations to Orara for a
great game you guys put up a good fight keeping us to only 2 goals it will be a
closer game in round 2 look forward to seeing you again for another great game.
A few people to thank today Scotty Tarlinton for helping out with our team
Mitchell Weeden, Craig Caruana and the over 35 lads for helping with set up and
close down of the park. A big welcome back. To DICTOR DANGRIN great to have you
back on the park buddy. Well Done to all the boys today. Let’s keep the momentum
going for next week.
