Northern Storm vs Sawtell reserve grade. A very even match up today between the storm and Sawtell at Toormina. Kick off was at 3pm and what a game it was. The storm opened up the scoring with a goal in the 11th minute of the first half by John Mangar with a header that got past the goal keeper. Sawtell hit back in the 33rd minute of the first half with a good goal from Mitch Clarkson to level the game 1-1 at half time.

Both teams started strong in the second half attack and defence from both sides was great to watch. A laps in defence in the 8th minute of the second half from storm seen the number 14 Dean Ingram score putting Sawtell ahead by 1 goal. The Storm kept up the preasure attacking all the time trying to equalise the score. Callum Smith for the storm and man of the match played his heart out showing real commitment for his team. Well done Callum. Sawtells defence was great keeping the Storm scoreless in the second half. Final score at full time is 2-1 to Sawtell.

Well done to Sawtell for their win. Northern Storm keep your head up lads a great game from use things just didn’t go your way today.
